INTERSPORT Deutschland eG collaborated with Körber Supply Chain to optimize its central warehouse in Heilbronn with advanced automation technology from SEW-EURODRIVE. The project resulted in an efficient, energy-efficient, and reliable automated warehouse with 700 gear motors, 6 small parts warehouses, and 86 shuttles. The system enables cost-effective warehouse management, quick startup, and high operational efficiency.

NewCold, a leader in the development and operation of automated cold storage and freezing warehouses, implemented energy-efficient storage systems at its new facility in Rennes, France. In collaboration with SEW-EURODRIVE and Ceratec, energy storage units were integrated to reduce peak loads on the power grid and utilize smaller components for power supply. The result was a modular solution for storage and retrieval with shuttles, optimal control systems, and energy-efficient technology, leading to higher operational efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

"The project in Rennes was a very special task for NewCold. It was the first time we worked with energy storage units in our warehouse and picking systems. Together with SEW-EURODRIVE, we implemented a solution to reduce power peaks from the grid, enabling the use of significantly smaller components in the power supply. Carlsberg carried out a preventive review and modernization of its high-bay warehouse in Fredericia to improve operational reliability and sustainability. Instead of replacing old gear motors, they modernized the existing ones, ensuring a longer lifespan and reduced environmental impact. The collaboration between SEW-EURODRIVE, SSI Schäfer, and Carlsberg led to improved operational reliability, fewer unplanned downtimes, and a more resource-efficient solution to maintain the system's functionality.
